FOR THE FOURTH INSTALLMENT OF BULLY PROFILES WE FEATURE GLOBAL ARTIST & CREATIVE JUNIOR SEALY.

Who are you and where are you from?
My name is Junior Sealy, I am an artist, photographer, builder and entrepreneur from Barbados - currently living in Barbados.

What brought you to the Bully world?
Bully is an incredible platform showcasing some of the world's most progressive talents so it's only natural that I would gravitate towards it and Bully is La Familia.

Who is someone you admire, and why?
Honestly, I admire my mom for creating so much abundance in everything she does, she has been my rock & go-to person my entire life. It’s crazy to think that one person can be so supportive and so incredibly patient. I love her so much and each day she teaches me something new.

What are the advantages and disadvantages as an artist living in the Caribbean?
Living in the Caribbean is truly a blessing and a curse because we have incredible locations to inspire our work but then we have limited funding. I think being here has allowed me to really push myself to do more things but it has also held me back in some ways because if you push too much you may be shunned. I am very non-traditional and our society still holds onto a lot of traditions no matter how much they may be harming us as people. One major blessing though is that I am seen internationally as a global talent so when people come to the islands I meet them and work with them because they always say I'm one of a kind.

If you could work with Rihanna in Barbados, what would the concept be and why?
OH Ri Ri!! I would love to photograph Rihanna as modern day statues next to all the old ones. The reason behind this is because she is doing what alot of us want to do and by doing that is empowering us even if indirectly...and that is why we put up statues right? To inspire, remember and empower.  Of course the looks would be crazy like sorta schiaparelli vibes.
